Yellow Card for Dad

Silke plays
on the E-team
in front as a forward player.
She has already shot
her first goal today.

And again Silke shoots
the ball at the goal.
The goalkeeper directs the ball
to the post.
He flies after it
and holds on to the ball.

Silke isn't sure
if the ball was in the goal.
The referee
lets the match continue.

But Silke's dad runs
back and forth along the touch-line.
»That was a goal!«
he calss into the playing-field.
»I can prove it!
I filmed it all!«
He holds his camera
for the referee to see.

Silke's dad complains so loudly
that the referee
has soon had enaugh.

He shows Silke's dad
the yellow card.

Silke would like
to sink into the ground
with shame.

At home dad
has a look at his recordings.
Forwards, backwards
and in slow motion.
Again and again.

»There,« says Dad,
»your ball was clearly in the goal.
What a blind referee.«

»Dad,« says Silke.
»We won anyway.«

She makes up her mind
to shoot harder next time.
So that the ball
lands smack in the net.
Then dad won't get
a yellow card anymore.
